Vedas teach us to be truthful, and be sweet in speech. Let us look for the Mantras below and try to be sweet not only in speech but make the entire of our lives sweet and delicious.

               Jihvaya agre madhu me jihvamoole  madhulakam|

               mamedaha kritavaso  mama chitramupayasi||

                                                                                        Atharva1.34.2

                May the tip of my tongue be sweet. May the centre of tongue be sweet. Oh Sweetness! You rest in my mind and worldly dealings.

            Madhumanme nishkramanam madhumanme paraayanam|

            vaacha vadaami madhumad bhuyaasam madhusandrisham||

                                                                                                Atharva 1.34.3

              Let sweetness accompany me wherever I go. Let sweetness return while I revert. Let me speak only with sweetness. May I look for sweetness everywhere.

               Madhorasmi  madhutaro madhudhanmadhumattarah|

               Mamithkila tvam vanaah  shakaam  madhumateemava||

                                                                                          Atharva 1.34.4

             May I become sweeter than the honey. Similarly, may my speech become tastier and delicious than the sweet yielding fruits and other things. Oh Sweetness! Let me possess that sweetness

             How beautiful is this thought? How lofty it is?  Further,

                Payasvannamaka vachah|

                                                                                     Atharva   3.24.1

            May my speech be meaningful and juicy.

                 Vaacham justaam madhumatheemavadisham|

            Let us always be speaking sweetly and with love.

                Madhumateem vachamudeyam|

          What should the yearning of a man?

         Ghritam  me chakshuramritham ma asan|

                                                                                    Yajurveda.18.66

        May the eyes of mine be sweet, full of love, and friendship? And my face radiate with nectar. Further,

avatar Thank you for your complements. But whether it is sweet speech or acquiring
wealth, they could be got by constant efforts only. Kindly see the articles on
how ought to be our prayers and also purushartha. Prayers are only our resolve
to acquire certain things and unless we put in the required amount efforts the
desired things are not got. Hence, it is my opinion that just by reciting these
Mantras we cannot acquire either good speech or wealth. Mantras are the pool of
knowledge and by thinking, analyzing the meaning and taking the appropriate
action thereon will alone yield required results.
